For five days, Newcastle's arts and music festival This is Not Art assembles four arts programs under one collective banner. Australia's national arts fest (October 2 - 6, 2008) will feature Electrofringe, an exchange of electronic music and culture between emerging and established artists; The National Young Writers' Festival -- a literary event for young writers and publishers; a spotlight on electronic and hip-hop music from Australia and beyond at the Sound Summit; and a critical forum for cultural commentators at the events' Critical Animals program.
